Pier 17, part of Manhattan’s historic South Street Seaport, serves as a public gathering, shopping, and event space. Totaling 300,000 SF, the facility is home to public recreation areas, bars and restaurants, concerts, film screenings, corporate events, and more.

In 2019 GOCO prepared a master plan study for electricity and exhaust for the entire Pier, and we have continued to work on a variety of projects throughout the facility.

Additional projects at Pier 17 have included:

Lobby Renovation
This renovation included the addition of garage doors along the entrances to enclose the 10,000 SF lobby area, and addition of a new kitchen to serve events within the space. This project also included reinforcement to existing restrooms, new bars and smoke exhaust system.

Winter Pavilion
We provided design services for a seasonal ice rink, event hall, skate rental shop and bar and restaurant located on the rooftop. MEP scope included reinforcement of base building services as well as roof distribution.

First Floor Restaurant
We provided design for a restaurant and bar located on the first floor. This project included operable garage doors as walls to open deck seating.

Second Floor Restaurant
This project included design for multiple restaurants and bars, complete with ESPN radio studio. Each establishment has a dedicated kitchen and exhaust system.
