London Terrace Towers (LTT) engaged Goldman Copeland (GOCO) to provide a conceptual design for the electrification of the mechanical/plumbing infrastructure at this residential facility.

LTT consists of four residential towers located between 9th and 10th Avenues and 23rd and 24th Streets in New York, NY. GOCO’s study focused on options to electrify the facility to reduce or eliminate the use of fossil fuels as well as the consumption of energy with a goal toward future electrification. In parallel to the study of electric system options, GOCO also provided a conditions assessment for the existing MEP systems in the event LTT decided to maintain their current system configurations. The combination of these two exercises provided ownership with information on the cost in terms of maintenance, energy (both utility costs and potential LL 97 fines), and capital expenditure associated with each option.
