Playwrights Horizons, Inc.

Playwrights Horizons is a not-for-profit Off-Broadway theater located in New York City dedicated to the support and development of contemporary American playwrights, composers, and lyricists, and to the production of their new work.

Founded in 1971 at the Clark Center Y by Robert Moss, it was one of the original theatres that started Theater Row by converting adult entertainment venues into off Broadway theatres, before moving to 42nd Street in 1977.
