This project involved the design for the upgrade of the existing standpipe riser systems, pumps, siamese connections and house reserve tanks to provide the backbone for a code compliant sprinkler system for the 26-story, 341,000 SF commercial building.
The sprinkler design is available for incorporation into fit-out work for full-floor tenants or for incorporation by the sprinkler contractor. Sprinkler design for common areas on floors 11, 14, 16, 18, 23, 24 and 26 – all multi-tenant floors were also incorporated into the project.
The design includes complete integration of the new sprinkler system with the existing fire alarm systems. Flow and tamper switches are specified as required as well as connection to the building’s emergency power supply system (where applicable).
